Does the seller have to honor what the ad says?

im looking for a car, and stumbled upon a used 2007 Audi A4 with 42000 miles for only 2,500 dollars... now this cars tend to be obviously waaay more expensive but the ad says that price. it might be an error on their part, but since the ad says that... by a legal standpoint do they have to honor it?
