How do i talk to my dad and get him to agree with me?

i want to go to reno and get married in the second week of april. my dad already knows that we are going to get married soon but he doesnt agree with the reno thing. but going to reno is the only way that we can get married without having to spend a bunch of money on counseling that we dont have. here in california, to get married underage, you have to have a certain amount of pre- marriage counselingwhich can be anywhere between 40-150 dollars a visit and its usually about two weeks of visits minimum. how do i talk him into letting me go? any suggestions?
