What is the best cash back credit card without groceries/gas?

I have heard that the Amex Blue and Chase Freedom are the best cards to get cash back rewards, but all the calculations I have seen include groceries and gas in their math. I will be buying very little of these items on this card, it will mostly be big purchases like airfare, hotel, car and meals. Which one is overall the best, if you don't include the items with the heavier cash back?
