Texting problem on blackberry curve 8320.?

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 from t-mobile. i have unlimited text messages. But when i try to log on to aim or yahoo messenger, or windows live, or g-talk or icq it says 'service not enabled on this handheld" what does it mean and how do i log on without any problems?
